00073-00078 – Westminster Cathedral, A windmill, and a housing project

Another set of drawings here from my trip out to London.  Below is the Windmill I visited–whcih was quite an adventure to get to.  It was located at the very end of a train line, and then about a mile walk from the station.  It was worth it though–a very beautiful suburb, very quiet too, and it was beautiful weather.  It’s nice sometimes to be far away from home, in a place where you no noone and you have only yourself to rely on.

The other drawings are of Westminster Cathedral (different from Westminster Abbey)  and of a housing project–I will try to find the name because it was a very progressive idea & well done.

Whenever I think back of where I visited, I must say that I probably would not go out of my way to visit any of these places again.   Where I would again visit St Peters or Westminster Abbey or the Cliffs of Mohar, these sorts of places below could really only have been visited with ample amounts of time on hand.  It makes me sad to think I may not have a chance again in my life to spend months and months in London, free to roam & explore.

I guess I will have to try to do my best to see all of NYC!

00068-00072 Two Cathedrals, London

Two cathedrals in London; five drawings.  I had a really splendid time in London and often dream of going back.  The whole city is just one giant, architectural playground!  Unfortunately I can’t give a real update on all the things happening in my life, but enjoy these sketches!

Hello all! It has been almost a week since I have updated, and not for very good reason.  The combination of work, travel, and my birthday has prevented me from sitting down and uploading.. and studying for that matter.  I’ve seriously been slacking.  But now that it is almost March, and my first ARE exam is but a few weeks away, I need to rev back up full force into studying.

Which leaves me conflicted and also desperate for time.  With the addition of a few other ideas/projects, I need to really be very efficient with my time usage.  I will wake up at 630 AM from now on and spend the first hour doing my speed painting challenge.  My lunch breaks from now on will be used to study for my exam.  My evenings will be for writing & company work… and cooking! All the delicious cooking I can!  Somewhere in there I promise to also include my drawing.  I also will post up my paints & digital art as I work through those as well.

Below are several sketches from my 2010 visit to London!  I took a whole day to go visit St. Pauls Cathedral–a wonderful piece of architecture–and spent several hours touring the surrounding area & the cathedral itself.  It is beautiful!  These were completed with ink & graphite, with a touch of watercolor.
